Writing a thesis is the final stage of every student's education. But it is important not only to write it well, but also to format it correctly. This determines the admission to the defence and the grade of the work.

A diploma thesis - a qualification paper at the end of an academic term in an educational institution that should show the level of knowledge, skills and training of a student. Each work has requirements for its design, and any deviation from them, even the slightest, will mean that you will not be allowed to defend it before the commission. So how do you do it right?

Structure of a diploma thesis

The structure of a thesis is clearly established, and adherence to the order is a requirement for writing and formatting a thesis, which helps to ensure logical consistency, systematisation of information and clear presentation of the material, which facilitates the assessment of its scientific value and academic quality.

Structural elements of a thesis:

  • The main body of the paper - consists of an introduction, sections and subsections. All the results obtained should be described, and conclusions should be drawn at the end of each section, but it is important to note that these conclusions and the conclusions at the end of the work should not be duplicated;
  • Conclusions - the use of references and citations is prohibited in this section of the thesis, and all the conclusions should not repeat the conclusions stated at the end of the sections in the main part;
  • List of references - must be drawn up in accordance with the established requirements. It is important to mention all the resources that served as a source of information.
