When applying to a university, every applicant worries about its status. What can be the status of an application for admission to a university and how can it be tracked?
It is mandatory for applicants to monitor the status of their university applications. This can be done in the electronic cabinet. Each submitted application has a certain status, which changes in the process of its processing by the Admissions Committee.
Application statuses
Registered in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (USEDE)
The status of registration in the USEDB indicates that the application has been submitted to the chosen educational institution.
Needs to be clarified by the applicant
The application has been accepted for consideration, but the educational institution has indicated that certain data of the applicant needs to be clarified. A list of these data is provided along with the appropriate status of the application.
This status can also be in the form of "Delayed".
Registered at the educational institution
The educational institution has accepted the applicant's application for consideration, after which a decision will be made in accordance with the established procedure to admit or refuse to admit the applicant to participate in the competitive selection.
Rejected by the educational institution
The registered application of the applicant is not allowed to participate in the competitive selection or entrance examinations by the decision of the admission committee. If this status is assigned, the educational institution indicates the reason for the refusal.
Cancelled by the applicant
The application is considered incomplete if the applicant cancels it in the personal e-cabinet before the status "Registered at the educational institution" or "Requires clarification by the applicant" is assigned. In this case, the applicant has the right to submit a new application with the same priority.
Cancelled by the applicant (without the right to submit a new application with the same priority)
An application submitted by an applicant with a set priority, which was cancelled by him/her in his/her personal electronic cabinet after the status "Registered in the educational institution" or "Requires clarification by the applicant" was assigned, but before the application deadline, deprives the applicant of the opportunity to submit a new application with the same priority.
Cancelled by the educational institution
An application is considered incomplete if it is cancelled by the educational institution by the decision of the admission committee due to a technical error made when entering data into the USEDE. This error must be confirmed by a relevant act.
Admitted to the competition
An applicant who has submitted a registered application is admitted to participate in the competitive selection for budget places or for studying under a contract.
Admitted to the competition (studying at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities)
The applicant has been admitted to participate in the competitive selection for study on a contract basis.
The status is assigned in the following cases:
- the applicant has applied exclusively for a contract;
- the applicant has not fulfilled the requirements for admission to budget places within the established deadline, but has received permission from the admission committee to participate in the competitive selection for a contract;
- the applicant has already been enrolled under another application for study under a state or regional order, but is also eligible for contract study.
Recommended for enrolment (studying under a state (regional) order)
The applicant has passed the competitive selection process and is recommended for admission to study at the expense of the state budget. If the application is assigned this status, the applicant must fulfil the requirements for enrolment in state-funded places.
Excluded from the list of recommended applicants (studying under a state (regional) order)
The applicant has lost the right to be enrolled in an educational institution on a state-funded basis due to failure to comply with the requirements of the Admission Procedure or their violation. When assigning this status to an application, the educational institution must indicate the reason for the exclusion.
Recommended for admission (studying at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities)
The applicant has passed the competitive selection process and is recommended for enrolment in a contract study programme. When this status is assigned to an application, the applicant is obliged to fulfil the requirements for enrolment in contract education.
Excluded from the list of recommended applicants (studying at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities)
The applicant has lost the right to be enrolled in a contractual form of education due to failure to comply with or violation of the requirements of the Admission Procedure. When assigning this status to an application, the educational institution must indicate the reason for the exclusion.
Deactivated (due to enrolment for study under a state (regional) order)
An application is considered to be incomplete if the applicant has already been included in the order for admission to study under a state or regional order.
Included in the order (study under the state (regional) order)
The order on enrolment admitted the applicant to study at the educational institution on a budgetary basis.
Included in the order (training at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities)
By the order of enrolment, the applicant is admitted to study at an educational institution on a contractual basis.
Enrolment cancelled
This status indicates that the applicant's enrolment in an educational institution has been cancelled.
Regularly monitoring the status of your application helps to avoid unforeseen situations. Since the status of an application may change depending on the decision of the admissions committee, applicants should regularly check their electronic account or relevant online resources.
